Barnsley Domestic Abuse Support Service

The Council is commissioning a comprehensive domestic abuse service for Barnsley to support victims of current or historic domestic abuse across all risk levels. The service will provide trauma-informed support to help individuals recover from sexual and domestic violence, build resilience, develop healthy relationship skills, and break cycles of abuse. The service will work with victims to build practical coping strategies, reinforce positive behaviors, and promote healthy family relationships. The contract runs for 5 years from 1 April 2023 to 31 March 2028, with options to extend for two additional 12-month periods. The estimated contract value is based on all extensions being granted. Providers should demonstrate experience in domestic abuse support, trauma-informed practice, risk assessment across the full spectrum of risk levels, and ability to work with diverse victim populations.
