    Brief

    The Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Combined Authority is seeking a qualified bus service operator to provide local bus services on the Cambridge to Dry Drayton to Hilton/Papworth Everard route. The contract will commence on 1st June 2026 and run for an initial 24-month period with an optional 12-month extension (maximum 36 months total). The selected supplier must be capable of delivering the full service from the start date and will be required to operate according to a detailed Route Schedule that specifies requirements including route details, timetables, vehicle types, and ticketing systems. Special conditions and any additional requirements beyond the Invitation to Tender (ITT) document and Conditions of Contract will be documented in the Route Schedule. Bidders should consider how their service can integrate with the existing commercial bus network where appropriate. The Authority reserves the right not to award a contract.
