Metered Water Standpipe Supply and Management Services

Yorkshire Water is seeking a service provider to manage the complete metered standpipe hire process for customers in the Yorkshire region. The successful supplier will be responsible for: purchasing, stocking, advertising, and supplying metered standpipes for hire; maintaining, refurbishing, cleaning, and disinfecting returned standpipes to re-issue quality standards; gathering consumption data and invoicing customers for water usage and hire charges; supporting Yorkshire Water's performance commitments related to water quality and service continuity; providing training and support to ensure correct standpipe usage and network operation in line with the 'Calm Networks' initiative, which aims to prevent distribution network damage; identifying and assisting in prosecuting illegal network interventions; and providing regular management data and reporting. This service excludes standpipe use by Yorkshire Water and Service Partner operatives engaged in water and waste network maintenance activities. The supplier will play a key role in ensuring reliable temporary water supply solutions while protecting network integrity and supporting customer service objectives.
