Low Carbon Concrete and FRP Reinforcement Expansion

This initiative focuses on advancing the use of low-carbon concrete and fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) reinforcement materials in construction applications. The project seeks to reduce carbon emissions in concrete production by increasing the adoption of alternative supplementary cementitious materials that can partially replace carbon-intensive Portland cement. Suppliers and material providers are encouraged to propose innovative solutions, products, or services that support wider deployment of these sustainable concrete technologies and reinforcement systems. This Phase 2 effort builds on previous progress to scale implementation across projects and establish best practices for low-carbon concrete and FRP reinforcement in the construction industry.
