Main Contractor Wanted: Woodlands Community Centre Refurbishment Project, Rustington

Rustington Parish Council invites main contractors to tender for the refurbishment and extension of The Woodlands Centre, a 350m² community facility in Rustington, West Sussex. The £500,000 project includes a new kitchen, reconfigured toilets, new heating and ventilation systems, and updated finishes, with associated landscaping. Works will be phased to keep the building operational and are scheduled to start 21 September 2026, with a 39-week programme. The contract will be let as a single-stage JCT Standard Build Contract 2024 Without Quantities, with monthly interim valuations, 5% retention, 12-month rectification period, and standard insurance requirements (Public Liability £10m, Employers Liability £10m, Contractors All Risk £10m with terrorism cover, and Professional Indemnity £10m). A 10% performance bond is required. The procurement process is competitive; the three highest-scoring pre-qualification questionnaire responses will be invited to tender, potentially five if scores are close.
