Managed Network Services for 175 Sites

Essex County Council is seeking a provider to deliver managed network services across approximately 175 sites serving around 9,000 users. The service will replace existing network technology (Wi-Fi, LAN, and WAN) while supporting hybrid working, evolving facilities, and enhanced cybersecurity. The provider must design, build, and operate a modern enterprise network with robust security, scalable infrastructure, and reliable connections across all locations. Services should leverage cloud infrastructure to reduce on-premise systems, minimize carbon emissions, and lower operational costs. The provider will consolidate contract management into a single unified service with proactive support, transparent communication, strategic business alignment, and comprehensive reporting to deliver cost savings and innovation opportunities. The contract must accommodate potential changes resulting from Local Government Reform affecting Essex County Council and any successor organizations. The existing infrastructure comprises 127 sites under a current managed services contract and 48 new sites with unmanaged services.
