    Brief

Staffordshire County Council is seeking to commission training delivery for the 'Monkey Bob' programme, a copyrighted early years tool designed to help professionals support children aged 2-7 who have experienced or been exposed to domestic abuse. Audits revealed a significant gap in preventative domestic abuse services for children in care, particularly for under-5s. The programme uses storytelling, play and practical activities to develop emotional literacy, communication skills and early help conversations with young children. Training will equip professionals across multiple services to recognise safeguarding concerns, respond appropriately to disclosures and promote children's safety and wellbeing. The programme aligns with Department for Education Best Start and Early Years Foundation Stage outcomes. This is a non-competitive commission due to the copyrighted nature of the licensed tool. Suitable applicants should be experienced in delivering domestic abuse training and have expertise working with early years practitioners and children. The successful provider will train professionals across Staffordshire to embed this evidence-based approach into their practice.
