Postgraduate Certificate in Nursing Home Management – Ireland Partnership Opportunity

Leading Healthcare Providers (LHP) Skillnet, in partnership with the Irish Department of Health, is procuring one or more Higher Education Institutions to deliver a Level 9 Postgraduate Certificate in Nursing Home Management. This fully-funded initiative strengthens leadership and management capabilities across Ireland's nursing home sector through accredited postgraduate education tailored to residential care. Key details: (1) The programme provides one fully-funded place for every nursing home in Ireland; (2) Initial phase commenced in 2026, with this procurement covering the national rollout during 2027-2028; (3) The Nursing Home Leadership Education and Development (NH-LEAD) Initiative aims to equip senior leaders with knowledge and skills in governance, regulatory compliance, quality improvement and person-centred care; (4) LHP Skillnet, a not-for-profit learning network established in 2008 and dedicated to the private healthcare sector, manages the programme on behalf of the Department of Health. Qualified Higher Education Institutions should demonstrate capacity to deliver postgraduate education, experience in healthcare sector training, and ability to scale delivery nationally.
