Installation and Commissioning of Ticket Machines and Passenger Information Systems at Cornwall and Devon Stations

Great Western Railway is seeking a qualified Enablement Supplier to design and install enabling infrastructure for Passenger Visual Announcement Line (PVAL) systems and Ticket Vending Machines (TVMs) at selected stations in Cornwall and Devon. Key Responsibilities: • Complete design and engineering of all enabling works, including site surveys, detailed designs, and obtaining necessary approvals from Network Rail, GWR, and other relevant authorities (Listed Building Consent where required) • Install and commission PVAL and TVM infrastructure, including posts, brackets, and associated hardware • Install minimum two CCTV cameras per TVM with Network Video Recorders and commission systems • Design and install power and data solutions (PVAL devices use Power-over-Ethernet; TVMs require dedicated power and data) • Supply and install network cabinets, cable management systems, power strips, and patch panels as needed • Coordinate with British Telecom and Openreach to establish network connectivity at up to 4 stations currently lacking connectivity • Design and install all internal cable routes (power, data, and network) within station lease boundaries, ensuring compliance with BT/Openreach standards • Install WiFi bridges where appropriate, in consultation with the Retail Project Manager and GWR IT • Perform all electrical work including testing of electrical and data cables • Ensure full compliance with Network Rail and Listed Building standards; correct any non-compliant work at no additional cost • Collaborate with GWR's Contract Administrators and Quantity Surveyors throughout project execution Note: This contract may be transferred to the successor operator of Great Western Railway (a public sector company) following the planned transfer of rail operations.
