Design and Supply of Canted 3-Pole Wiggler for Diamond Light Source Upgrade

Diamond Light Source (DLS) is a leading-edge synchrotron facility located on the Harwell Science & Innovation Campus in Oxfordshire, supporting research in academia and industry. The facility is undergoing a major upgrade to Diamond-II, which will significantly improve experimental speed and spatial resolution while enhancing access to advanced instruments for life and physical sciences. This procurement seeks a qualified supplier to design, manufacture, test, and supply a complete canted three-pole wiggler (3PW) system for installation in the Diamond-II storage ring at straight section K18. The supplier will work from DLS's outline design, verifying and modifying it as necessary to meet the detailed performance specification. The wiggler is a critical component of the upgrade programme that also includes new instruments, improved optics, detectors, sample environments, and enhanced computing capabilities. Interested suppliers should have expertise in magnetic device engineering, precision manufacturing, and accelerator component testing.
