    Brief

Kirklees Council, on behalf of the West Yorkshire Safety Camera Partnership, is establishing a framework for the supply, installation, and maintenance of road traffic safety cameras across West Yorkshire. The partnership includes West Yorkshire Police, West Yorkshire Magistrates Court Service, Highways England, and five local authorities (Bradford, Calderdale, Leeds, Kirklees, and Wakefield). This framework is structured into five lots: Lot 1 covers speed cameras; Lot 2 covers average speed cameras; Lot 3 covers red light cameras; Lot 4 covers combined red light and speed cameras; and Lot 5 covers remedial maintenance services. Lots 1-4 include a call-off mechanism allowing the partnership to purchase individual or multiple camera units, with the successful supplier responsible for maintenance for up to 10 years. All cameras must include a 12-month warranty, with optional maintenance packages available for years 2-5 and years 6-10. Lot 5 encompasses safety inspections, repainting, damage repair, and decommissioning of legacy cameras throughout the West Yorkshire region. Suppliers should be prepared to support the partnership's road safety objectives across multiple council areas.
