Sewage Pump System Replacement at National Oceanography Centre

Opportunity to design, supply, install, test, and commission a replacement sewage pit pumping system at the National Oceanography Centre in Southampton. The project involves removing existing infrastructure and installing two submersible Flyte pump units (3.1kW each) with stainless steel guide rails, brackets, lifting chains, and discharge connections. Key responsibilities include site verification, dimensional checks, technical design preparation, equipment procurement, quality assurance, and full installation under CDM Regulations 2015 with confined space procedures. Testing and commissioning will verify operational performance in coordination with the client. Electrical work will be performed by others unless agreed otherwise. This modernization project aims to improve system reliability, reduce ongoing maintenance, and replace outdated components. Contractors should have experience with submersible pump installations, confined space work, and compliance with construction safety regulations.
