Lone Worker Safety Monitoring System for Anglian Water

Anglian Water is seeking market engagement and solutions to support its lone worker safety program. The company operates over 6,000 sites across a large geographic area (Humber to Thames estuary region) and employs approximately 3,000 workers who regularly work alone in the field. Currently, Anglian Water uses a mobile phone-based lone worker system where employees activate location tracking and set alert time periods before beginning work. These alerts are monitored centrally by the Operational Management Centre (OMC) in Lincoln. The system triggers an alert if the worker fails to check in before the set time expires or if a panic button is pressed, prompting the OMC team to make contact and locate the worker if necessary. Anglian Water is engaging with the market to explore improved or complementary solutions that enhance worker safety, strengthen incident response capabilities, streamline the alert and escalation process, or provide additional functionality to better protect lone workers across its operational sites.
