Technical Assurance for South East Operations Tunnels and Technology

National Highways is seeking a supplier to manage and oversee the delivery of technical assurance services for tunnel and roadside technology projects. This includes administering the completion of the 3D Stage Gate 2 Preliminary Design and reviewing designs as they progress through the 3D Stage Gate process. The successful supplier will supplement the existing National Highways team, led by Eloise Phillips, and support the delivery of technology programs through the end of the Road Investment Strategy 3 (RIS 3). Bidders are required to submit a service proposal for a 6-year period, detailing costs for the entire duration as well as annual breakdowns. The initial contract will cover the first year, with subsequent years contingent on a review of service needs. Full-time technical resources with specific knowledge in tunnel and roadside technology asset management are required, and these resources must be based in the South East of England, with access to National Highways offices in Maidstone, Guildford, or Basingstoke for at least 2 days a week. Travel and subsistence expenses will be reimbursed according to National Highways' policies.
