    Brief

Dublin City Council seeks an architect-led integrated design team to develop comprehensive plans for constructing a pontoon and access infrastructure on the River Liffey near Islandbridge. The project aims to improve safety and access for the 13+ rowing clubs in the area by creating a unified water access route from Islandbridge to Ringsend. The scope includes: a floating pontoon system with anchoring to the island shore, a stone and concrete platform extending from the riverbank, a gangway connecting these elements, removal and reinstallation of an existing steel footbridge, installation of a new accessible walkway from the weir to the pontoon, vegetation management (including removal of poor growth, pruning of healthy trees, and planting 25 native Irish trees and shrubs), and temporary land regrading for site access. The design must minimize environmental impact and comply with strict planning regulations due to the site's extensive heritage and ecological significance. This is a funding-dependent project. Interested suppliers should review the full documentation available on www.etenders.gov.ie (Resource ID xxxxxxx).
