Winter Primary Care Access Hubs for Bromley

NHS South East London Integrated Care Board is commissioning a Winter Access Hubs Service to expand same-day primary care capacity across Bromley during winter months and periods of high seasonal demand. The service will operate through multiple hub locations across the borough, providing GP-led urgent primary care assessments and treatments to reduce pressure on emergency departments and urgent treatment centres. Key service requirements: • Deliver same-day face-to-face GP consultations for winter-related illnesses and urgent primary care needs • Establish geographically distributed hub locations across Bromley for convenient patient access • Accept direct referrals from general practices, NHS 111, and urgent treatment centres • Integrate with community pharmacies and self-referral pathways to direct patients to appropriate care settings • Scale capacity flexibly based on demand fluctuations and system pressures • Use shared digital systems and GP clinical platforms to ensure seamless patient information sharing and continuity of care • Collect and report activity data, utilisation metrics, patient outcomes, and service impact to enable ongoing evaluation The service is a 3-month contract (subject to change) and forms part of Bromley's winter resilience strategy to improve access to urgent primary care and support NHS objectives for same-day community-based assessment.
