Electrical Upgrades at Stanta-Bodney Camp

This contract involves essential electrical upgrades at Stanta-Bodney Camp to support the upgrade of the Distribution Network Operator (DNO). The work includes the following key tasks: 1. Constructing a plinth for a UK Power Networks (UKPN) substation according to their specifications. 2. Installing earthing for the UKPN substation as per their requirements. 3. Conducting vacuum excavation and trenching to facilitate the installation of high voltage (HV) cables between the site boundary and the new UKPN substation, as well as installing 90 meters of earth electrodes/pins. 4. Designing and constructing a new site intake switchroom, which will include a new low voltage (LV) intake switchboard and necessary earthing. 5. Designing and installing inter-connecting LV cables between the new UKPN substation and the new site intake switchroom, and also between the new switchroom and the existing switchroom to ensure power supply continuity. 6. Providing builders' work related to the new LV intake switchboard and substation, including a new plinth, a GRP substation enclosure, and necessary lighting and power installations. 7. Additional builders' work for a new GRP meter enclosure and associated requirements. 8. Delivering new handover information and documentation. 9. Ensuring temporary power supply for the camp during any shutdowns. This project is valued at £370,000 and is published on the Contracts Finder platform. The deadline for submissions is March 6, 2026.
