Lift Modernisation Contracts 2026-2036

Southern Housing is seeking 4 contractors to deliver lift modernisation works across 4 separate lots. Contractors will be awarded one lot each and must demonstrate capability in: resident liaison and support during works (including temporary access solutions), Principal Designer and Principal Contractor responsibilities under CDM regulations, and Principal Designer and Principal Contractor responsibilities under Building Safety Act requirements. Bidders may apply for multiple lots but can only be awarded one. Each lot will be evaluated individually using a Most Advantageous Tender (MAT) approach. Contracts will run for an initial 5-year term with options to extend for up to a further 5 years. Southern Housing's strategic objectives include delivering high-quality customer experiences, improving resident satisfaction, ensuring efficient and safe service delivery, maintaining cost transparency, implementing strong performance management, supporting health and safety excellence, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement, and delivering social value outcomes. For this contract (estimated value over £5 million), four key performance indicators have been established: lift availability, project completion timelines, defects identified at witness testing, and health and safety file submission.
