Lead Architect for Evelina Children's Hospital Expansion - 8-Floor Fit-Out Project

Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Trust is seeking a Lead Architect for the fit-out of 8 floors in a new state-of-the-art children's hospital at St Thomas' Hospital. The project will deliver comprehensive acute care facilities designed to meet demand through 2034/35 and beyond. The fit-out scope includes: B2 basement (plant room), B1 (imaging department), ground floor (reception and ambulatory services), first floor (acute ward with some high-dependency unit capacity), second floor (theatres and catheter laboratories), third floor (paediatric intensive care unit), fourth floor (acute ward with some high-dependency unit capacity), and fifth floor (plant room). The approved design scheme will be updated in September 2026 to incorporate updated BSA requirements, which will require restructuring from 2 cores to 3 cores, though the external floor plate perimeters will remain unchanged. This is a major capital project with an estimated construction value of £60 million. The Lead Architect will be responsible for coordinating the design and fit-out delivery across all eight floors to create a modern, comprehensive children's hospital facility.
