    Brief

South Yorkshire Future Trams Ltd (SYFTL), which is owned by the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority (SYMCA), is seeking a contractor for a concrete track pothole repair project. This contract will last for 3 years, with the possibility of a 1-year extension based on satisfactory performance. The contractor will be responsible for identifying, preparing, and repairing potholes in the concrete track slab of the Sheffield Supertram light rail network, specifically in the embedded sections where the rails are set into the road. The goal of this work is to restore the structural integrity of the track, ensure safe operations for vehicles, and prolong the lifespan of the infrastructure. Key objectives of the contract include: * Repairing potholes and surface defects in concrete slabs. * Minimizing disruption to tram services and local traffic. * Ensuring compliance with national and local regulations. * Maintaining safety for both workers and the public. The estimated value of the contract over the 3-year period (with the option to extend) is between £200,000 and £250,000. The successful supplier must obtain and maintain all necessary consents and certifications as required by legislation, guidance, or good industry practices. Additionally, they must: * Clearly identify any relevant legislation or standards that must be met throughout the contract, including British Standards (BS), European Standards (ISO, EN, DIN), and national government standards or their equivalents (e.g., Building Regulations). * Have adequate insurance coverage, including professional liability and workers' compensation, to address any potential risks associated with the work. Interested suppliers should refer to tender DN781840 to register their interest and submit a bid.
