    Brief

The Wadi Zarqa Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) project is divided into two phases. Phase 1 aims to treat 150,000 cubic meters of wastewater per day by 2030. Phase 2 will increase this capacity by an additional 200,000 cubic meters per day, reaching a total capacity of 350,000 cubic meters per day by 2034-2035. This contract involves the design, construction, and operation of Phase 1 of the WWTP and its associated facilities. Key components of the project include the design and permitting processes, supply and delivery of materials, construction, commissioning, operation, maintenance, and eventual transfer of the facility. Additionally, the project includes the construction of a hydropower plant with a capacity of approximately 1.4 MW, a conveyance system from the West Zarqa Pump Station to the WWTP, which involves 12 kilometers of pipeline (with a diameter to be confirmed, estimated up to 1,600 mm), and the expansion of the pre-treatment facility at the West Zarqa Pump Station.
