Construction Project at Bielefeld University

The Bielefeld University is seeking suppliers for a significant construction project involving the partial demolition and new construction, as well as the renovation and modernization of its main building (UHG). This building, constructed between 1972 and 1976, is a large structure measuring 410 meters long and 230 meters wide, with up to 11 floors above ground and two basement levels. The total area of the complex is approximately 314,000 square meters. Due to the building's age, various structural and functional deficiencies, as well as outdated energy standards, a comprehensive modernization is necessary. The project will be executed in six phases, with the third phase being based on a multi-party contract model that promotes collaborative project management. This model encourages all parties involved, including the client and seven contractors, to work together towards a successful project outcome.
