Clinical Engineering Services for Medical Devices

Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust (OHFT) is seeking a clinical engineering service provider to assist in managing medical devices. The contract will commence on April 1, 2026, for an initial period of three years, with the possibility of extending for an additional two years, making a total of five years. There will be opportunities to pause the contract at the end of the third and fourth years. The selected provider will collaborate with the current service provider to ensure a smooth transition and begin preparations before the contract starts. Key responsibilities include managing the master asset list, preparing new medical devices for use, servicing all devices at least once a year according to warranty and manufacturer guidelines, addressing issues reported by clinical teams, and performing necessary repairs. Additionally, the provider will offer advisory services, including assistance in identifying new devices/models, contributing to clinical evaluations, and conducting an annual analysis of the age and condition of all devices each August to aid in lifecycle planning.
