Production of Bills of Quantities for Highways Project

This contract opportunity is for a Professional Quantity Surveyor (PQS) to produce accurate quantity take-offs and Bills of Quantities (BoQs) for a highways project. The PQS will ensure compliance with client standards, including the Manual of Contract Documents for Highway Works and NEC PSC requirements. Key responsibilities include extracting material quantities from federated BIM models and drawings, validating these against design intent, and preparing structured BoQs that align with the agreed Work Breakdown Structure. Deliverables must be compatible with cost control and procurement systems, maintaining a clear audit trail. The project team will provide inputs such as design specifications, federated models, and programme details. The PQS must ensure consistency across packages, avoid duplication, and incorporate scope splits for subcontract works. Note that this engagement does not include design or site activities and requires adherence to project-specific quality standards and assurance requirements. Outputs must meet accuracy and compliance criteria, support procurement timelines, and interface effectively with estimating, procurement, and engineering teams for timely and cost-effective delivery.
