    Brief

The Helmholtz Zentrum München is seeking to procure an inverted confocal laser scanning microscope equipped with an additional epifluorescence function. This microscope should allow for standard imaging as well as the capability to resolve structures smaller than the diffraction limit of light, specifically down to 100 nm. Key research focuses include studying mitochondria, chloroplasts, and their DNA, along with their dynamic regulation in living cells of model organisms such as baker's yeast and Chlamydomonas reinhardtii. In November 2023, a Nikon AXR Confocal System with a resonant scanner and NSPARC Super-Resolution was successfully tested for this purpose.
