Renovation Services for Petersaurach School Center

The Petersaurach School Center is in need of renovation due to its age and non-compliance with current standards, particularly regarding fire safety and accessibility. The project aims to meet the all-day care requirements for elementary school students starting in the 2026/2027 school year, necessitating space optimization to maximize funding. The adjacent sports hall is currently under renovation and is not part of this contract. The Heilsbronn-Petersaurach Middle School will continue operations until July 2026, when the last 9th-grade class graduates, with project completion expected by July 2027. During the renovation, certain areas, including the 'Middle Building,' will remain in use. Plans for an extension at the southern end of the building are being considered to address some challenges and provide additional necessary spaces, supported by an existing study included in the tender documents. There are also potential development opportunities in the attic of the main building (Building F). Alternative ideas are welcome, and the study is not mandatory to follow. The project will be executed in phases while maintaining ongoing operations, aiming to avoid temporary solutions. All-day care must be ensured starting in the 2026/2027 school year, with the overall project ideally completed within approximately five years, considering budget constraints. The optimization of the school grounds for sports activities and improvement of the break area is also a priority. Preliminary cost estimates suggest construction costs of around 8 million EUR net or 9.5 million EUR gross, with some uncertainty due to the unclear planning status. This procedure will award planning services for electrical engineering according to HOAI, along with optional special services. Work is expected to begin following the procedure, with services being called and awarded in stages and construction phases. Initially, phases 1-2 will be addressed for the entire project across all construction phases, with further stages contingent on secured funding.
