Museum Object Conservation Services

The contract involves the secure treatment, packaging, and transportation of objects from the Savoie Museum as part of the relocation of collections to new storage facilities. This specific lot focuses on the antifungal treatment of collections using gamma irradiation. The framework agreement will be executed through the issuance of purchase orders, with services paid at unit and flat rates. The delivery to the Departmental Collection Conservation Center (CCCD) is expected by the end of 2025. Approximately 80,000 objects currently stored at various sites in the Chambéry area will need to be transported, excluding archaeological furniture. Some items must be treated beforehand to prevent contamination of the new building. The contract includes the following expectations for the awarded suppliers: - Dynamic anoxia treatment for potentially infested objects (lot 1); - Gamma irradiation treatment for moldy objects (lot 2); - Provision of pallets necessary for the transport and long-term conservation of large objects at the CCCD (lot 3); - Packaging, handling within the reserves for anoxia treatment if necessary, and transportation between the current storage location and the CCCD (lot 4). The start date of the contract is indicative and will only commence upon receipt of notification.
