Study and Consulting Services for Radioactive Waste Management Alternatives

This procurement opportunity involves the preparation of a comprehensive study on the final disposal alternatives for bituminized radioactive waste stored at the Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant (IAE). The study will evaluate and compare two disposal options: the reconstruction of the existing bituminized waste storage facility into a landfill (in situ) and the removal, treatment, and relocation of this waste to another landfill. The study must include a description of the current situation, an analysis of national and international (IAEA) requirements, a review of technological solutions and global practices, and an evaluation of alternatives based on multiple criteria (safety, technical, economic, social, environmental). The final deliverable will be a report on the study of final disposal alternatives for IAE bituminized radioactive waste, agreed upon with the client, provided in English in both MS Word and PDF formats, and signed electronically by the supplier's manager or authorized person. The duration of service provision is 300 calendar days from the contract's entry into force. This procurement is conducted in accordance with the Public Procurement Law of the Republic of Lithuania and the requirements set forth in the procurement documents.
