Falls Prevention and Rehabilitation Services Framework

This is a framework agreement to deliver falls prevention, rehabilitation, and recovery services across England and Wales. The framework addresses the significant public health need identified in the 2023 National Audit of Inpatient Falls, which reported over 60,000 femoral fractures due to falls in 2022. Services include: falls risk assessments, home safety evaluations, personalized care planning, strength and balance improvement programs, hospital admission prevention, and public awareness campaigns. Services will be delivered in both community homes and residential care settings. The framework is divided into three lots: Lot 1 (falls prevention only), Lot 2 (post-fall rehabilitation and recovery only), and Lot 3 (combined services). Eligible organizations include NHS trusts, integrated care boards, local authorities, health boards, and other NHS-related entities in England and Wales. This notice opens applications from new providers to join the existing framework. The framework term is 4 years from commencement. Previously appointed providers are not required to reapply. The framework was originally established under The Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023 and The Health Services (Provider Selection Regime) (Wales) Regulations 2025.
