Brief

Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council is procuring a comprehensive All-Age Carers Service to provide preventative support to people with caring responsibilities. The service will support young carers (5-15 years), young adult carers (16-18 years), and adult carers (18+ years) across the borough. Service providers must deliver: early identification of carers including those unaware of their carer status; accessible information, advice and guidance through digital and non-digital channels; tailored preventative support to improve wellbeing and reduce isolation; strengthened partnership working across health, education, social care and community sectors; financial wellbeing support including benefits maximisation; and continuous service improvement through co-production with carers. The service forms part of the council's Staying Happy Healthy and Well prevention strategy. Full details are available in the Invitation to Tender documentation.
