    Brief

This contract provides maintenance and servicing for 10 emergency standby generators at the Institute. The successful supplier will conduct two service visits per year for each generator: one minor service and one major service. Service visits include routine maintenance as detailed in the site maintenance specification document (Schedule 5.a). Additional costs for replacing components such as oil, air filters, fuel filters, coolant, fuel lines, plugs, and leads beyond standard maintenance will be quoted separately and require approval. The supplier should coordinate service dates in advance with the Institute's maintenance scheduler. Due to building shutdown schedules, multiple site visits may be necessary rather than servicing all generators in one visit. The Institute prefers that a dedicated engineer from the supplier obtains site security clearance to work independently, reducing the need for escort services and enabling the engineer to sign work permits and manage breakdown or extra work efficiently.
