    Brief

    The University is seeking a Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) to provide comprehensive services for a UK research-funded randomized controlled trial (LIONNS-D2) investigating Triiodothyronine sulphate (T3S) as a treatment for hypothyroid patients with a specific genetic variant in the deiodinase 2 enzyme. The CDMO must: (1) Import and obtain Qualified Person sign-off for T3S and matching placebo tablets manufactured to GMP standards by Ardena (Pamplona, Spain); (2) Over-encapsulate commercially sourced L-thyroxine (LT4) and placebo capsules; (3) Store all T3S, placebo, and over-encapsulated LT4 and placebo materials under appropriate conditions; (4) Label all T3S, LT4, and respective placebo packs according to trial requirements; (5) Distribute finished medication packs to the trial pharmacy at Royal Glamorgan Hospital, Wales. The selected supplier will ensure full compliance with GMP standards and regulatory requirements throughout the manufacturing and distribution process.
