Tree and Woodland Assessment Services for Cambridgeshire

Cambridgeshire County Council is seeking a qualified supplier to conduct comprehensive tree and woodland assessments across the county. The project includes two main components: (1) condition assessments of Council-owned woodlands, evaluating biodiversity, public access, timber resources, and providing management recommendations; and (2) a countywide survey of trees, woodlands, and hedgerows to measure carbon storage, sequestration potential, and create natural capital accounts aligned with SEEA standards, plus strategic opportunity mapping. The assessments will inform woodland management strategies, support climate and nature recovery goals, evaluate natural capital assets, and guide future environmental investments. Suppliers should have expertise in woodland ecology, biodiversity assessment, carbon accounting, and natural capital valuation. Deliverables will include detailed reports, data analysis, strategic recommendations, and mapping outputs suitable for long-term environmental planning.
