Library Equipment Procurement for Educational and Research Purposes

The procurement is necessary due to the aging of existing equipment at the university and the emergence of new educational, scientific, or research needs. Suppliers should understand that acquiring this equipment is crucial for maintaining high-quality educational and research activities at POLITEHNICA University of Bucharest, Pitesti University Center. The equipment outlined in this procurement document is specified in the funding contract of the NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY POLITEHNICA BUCUREȘTI, Pitesti University Center, contract number 14057/16.09.2022, from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), positions 8-17 of the Procurement Plan. This acquisition is essential for the digitization activities of the Library at the Pitesti University Center. By digitizing document collections and establishing a digital library, the promotion of national values, better dissemination of information, and enhanced utilization of the collections and documents held by the Library at the Pitesti University Center are ensured. The Digital Library allows for the storage and management of full-text documents, images, audio, and/or video files linked to bibliographic records in the related database, facilitating access to information and expanding free access to document content. Digitizing documents enables remote access to publications from the library's heritage and increases the accessibility of collections. Suppliers can request clarifications until 18 days before the deadline for submitting offers. The contracting authority will respond to all clarification requests on the 11th day before the deadline for submitting offers.
