Broadcasting Services for EU Presidency Events in Ireland

Ireland will serve as the President of the Council of the European Union from July 1 to December 31, 2026. During this period, a variety of meetings, events, and conferences will take place across the country, including high-level official meetings and gatherings with senior political figures. These events are expected to attract significant media coverage, necessitating the services of an official television service provider, known as a host broadcaster. The selected host broadcaster will be responsible for delivering satellite streams and television recordings of major meetings to accredited TV stations throughout EU Member States. Additionally, they will offer an on-demand service for other television stations that may require access to the content.
