Construction Project at Castlecomer Community School

Castlecomer Community School is seeking suppliers for a construction project that involves infilling the internal courtyard and building a special education classroom of approximately 96 square meters. The project includes demolishing existing structures, removing paving and concrete slabs, adjusting drainage systems, and constructing new foundations. Suppliers will need to erect a new steel structural frame, install roofing, cladding, and external glazing, as well as perform high-level plasterwork over the new roof structure. Additionally, the project requires the removal of existing internal screens and their replacement with fire-rated glazed screens, constructing plasterboard linings and partitions, and completing mechanical and electrical installations. New stairs to the ground floor level will also be constructed. The project includes finishing work such as joinery, floor coverings, painting, decoration, sanitary fittings, wall tiling, and stair finishes. All services and installations must be commissioned and certified before the project is cleaned and handed over. Due to the location within the school, construction work will primarily take place on weekends, during late evenings, and during mid-term school breaks, with a goal of completing the project by August 28, 2025, in time for the new school term.
