Needle and Syringe Supply Service

The Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (MPFT) is looking for a qualified provider to partner with a national drug and alcohol service to supply needle and syringe products and related items. This service will be delivered across several regions, including Buckinghamshire, Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Telford, Staffordshire, and Portsmouth. The provider must be adaptable to meet changing needs throughout the contract duration. The goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental, and confidential service that is centered around the needs of individuals, drawing on lived experiences, while also being cost-effective. The service will include a variety of needle and syringe products, educational e-learning for Trust staff on the needle and syringe program and Naloxone awareness, as well as printed materials for users. Delivery options will include community pharmacies, Trust community drug and alcohol services, and direct delivery to users' homes. The supplier must also provide an online ordering platform that is accessible to service users, community pharmacies, and Trust services. This platform should be flexible enough to manage restrictions on product types and volumes based on geographical areas and must comply with accessibility, data protection, and privacy laws.
