Sweden – Construction of Overhead Power Lines – RNM 145 kV Line OL8 S1, S2, and S4

This contract involves the construction of a new approximately 56 km long 145 kV power line, divided into three sections: OL8S1 Kil-Karlstad, OL8S2 Karlstad-Väse, and OL8S4 Väse-Kristinehamn, primarily within an existing power line corridor. The project also includes the dismantling of the current 145 kV lines OL8S1 and OL8S2 over a distance of 56 km. The main structure will consist of wooden pole portals, with the buyer providing wooden poles, while composite and steel poles are also included. The line will use a 910 mm² conductor with OPGW equivalent to 241 mm². The project is planned to be executed in three phases: Phase 1 OL8S1 in 2026, Phase 2 OL8S2 in 2027, and Phase 3 OL8S4 in 2027-2028. A call for qualified bidders is expected to be published at the end of April.
