Landscaping Works for Public Green Areas in Darmstadt

This contract opportunity involves the landscaping and design of public green areas in the Ludwigshöhviertel district of Darmstadt, covering a total area of approximately 43,000 square meters. Of this area, about 30,000 square meters have already been designated as conservation areas. The work will take place across various sections of the Ludwigshöhviertel and is scheduled to begin in March 2026, with an expected completion date by the end of November 2026. The scope of work includes the creation and design of public green spaces, which encompasses all necessary landscaping construction services and additional tasks. Key activities include earthworks and excavation, soil modeling (approximately 3,000 cubic meters), embankments, and the construction of frost and gravel layers (around 2,000 cubic meters). The project also involves building pedestrian paths and side roads, including about 2,500 square meters of gravel lawns, 1,600 square meters of concrete paving, and 1,000 square meters of asphalt base and surface layers. Additionally, the project requires the construction of rainwater drainage systems over approximately 200 meters, stairways with about 150 linear meters of steps, and around 100 linear meters of stainless steel railings. The installation of tree pits with a volume of approximately 700 cubic meters and the planting of about 56 trees are also part of the contract. Furthermore, the project includes shrub removal and planting and maintenance work for the green areas. In one section, the removal of an existing army fence is also required. All work must consider the existing conservation areas and local conditions, adhering to relevant technical regulations, standards, and guidelines.
