Planning Services for Heating Network in Bad Berka

This contract opportunity involves providing planning services for phases 2 to 4 of the technical equipment and civil engineering works, as per the Fee Structure for Architects and Engineers (HOAI). The project focuses on a district heating network, including generation and building transfer stations, located in the supply areas of Solesmeser and Blankenhainer Straße in Bad Berka. Currently, each residential area is served by its own heating network. Future plans include connecting the two networks, renewing the building transfer stations, decommissioning the heating generators on Solesmeser Straße, and establishing a new heating generation facility for both residential areas on Blankenhainer Straße. The Solesmeser Straße network serves 7 buildings and 256 residential units, generating approximately 1,335 MWh/year with an installed capacity of 790 kW (gas condensing boiler). The Blankenhainer Straße network serves 6 buildings and 240 residential units, generating about 1,400 MWh/year with an installed capacity of 590 kW (gas boiler). Alongside this tender, there is also a call for the creation of a transformation plan in accordance with federal funding for efficient heating networks, covering phase 1 of the project. The planned facility technology will be based on the first package of measures defined in the transformation plan for decarbonizing the heating networks. Due to the funding division into Module 1 (transformation plan + phases 2 to 4) and Module 2 (phases 5 to 8 + implementation), only planning up to phase 4 can initially be commissioned. The first mentioned package of measures will include construction services that are independent of the transformation plan's results. These partial services include connecting the two separate heating networks and fully renewing the building connection stations. Planning for these construction services can occur concurrently with the development of the transformation plan. Once the final concept for the facility technology is available, planning for that can also commence. Close collaboration between the teams working on the transformation plan and the planning services for phases 2 to 4 is desired and necessary for the successful completion of the first planning phase.
