Renovation of Gymnasium Damme Buildings

The Landkreis Vechta is seeking architectural and engineering services for the renovation of Gymnasium Damme, which includes two buildings: Building 1 (Main Building) and Building 2 (Former Secondary School). Building 1, constructed in 1965/1966, requires interior renovations, while Building 2, built in 1974, needs both interior and exterior renovations. The project aims to address significant wear and tear due to age, improve energy efficiency, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. The work must be completed while the school remains operational, serving approximately 1,300 students and 120 teachers. Key tasks include updating electrical systems, heating, plumbing, and ensuring accessibility. The project is expected to begin in the summer or fall of 2027, with a planning phase of about one year after contractor selection, anticipated in September or October 2025. The estimated cost for the renovations is approximately €19.7 million.
