Construction of Overhead Line Works for the Regionaltangente West Project

The Regionaltangente West (RTW) is a new rail connection aimed at improving public transport in the Frankfurt Rhein-Main metropolitan area. It connects the western districts of Frankfurt with surrounding cities and enhances access to Frankfurt Airport. This project involves the construction of new track connections and engineering structures, necessitating the renovation of the existing overhead line system established between 1959 and 1962. The overhead line system at Frankfurt-Höchst station includes main tracks with a design type of Re 160 and secondary tracks of type Re 75. The overhead line is constructed using single mast and cross-field designs with flat and angled masts, supported by concrete foundations. The standard wire height is 5.75 meters, with a system height of 1.80 meters. Existing cross structures have a wire height of 6.00 meters and a system height of 2.00 meters. The overhead line system has a short-circuit current of over 25kA. This tender is for the necessary overhead line works for the cross-field resolution at Höchst station, which includes the new construction of the overhead line system due to the required resolution of the cross-field design. The work must be completed promptly after the contract is awarded, and specific construction pauses have been coordinated with DB InfraGO AG.
