Waste Management Services for Research

This contract opportunity involves the recycling and disposal services for research waste generated by VTT (Technical Research Centre of Finland). The services include waste collection from VTT's facilities, dismantling services, rental of waste containers, container exchange services, and secure disposal services for classified materials. Research waste is produced at various VTT locations in Espoo (Otaniemi and Kiviruukki), Tampere, Jyväskylä, and Oulu. The waste typically consists of metals, concrete, energy and construction waste, wood, plastics, bio-based testing materials (such as paper, pulp, ash, composites), and information and telecommunication equipment. This is a notice regarding the suspension of the procurement process. The procurement was suspended on October 7, 2025, due to significant errors identified in the pricing model presented in the tender documents. Additionally, there were ambiguities in the descriptions of container specifications. These issues cannot be rectified without suspending the procurement and issuing a new tender. The suspension is justified based on the reasons mentioned above and does not discriminate against suppliers.
