This contract involves the construction and maintenance of a Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) in Koroni, Greece. The project includes several key components: 1. **Influent Works**: Wastewater will be directed to the facility via a pressure pipeline. 2. **Pre-treatment**: This includes screening, grit removal, and oil separation, with an emphasis on automation to minimize human contact with by-products. 3. **Primary Settling**: Facilities for sludge and floatable removal will be included. 4. **Biological Treatment**: This will involve biological phosphorus removal, nitrification, and denitrification using a membrane bioreactor (MBR) system. 5. **Chemical Phosphorus Removal**: If necessary, coagulants will be added during biological treatment. 6. **Tertiary Treatment**: This includes disinfection and dechlorination processes. 7. **Sludge Treatment**: Temporary storage and mechanical dewatering of sludge will be part of the project. 8. **Effluent Disposal**: Treated wastewater will be stored and discharged into a stream and irrigation network. 9. **Auxiliary Networks**: This includes drainage, water supply, industrial water, and fire-fighting networks. 10. **Control and Operation System**: Key functions will be monitored through a control center and local control stations.
