Public Administration Services – BfN Expert Discussions on Nature Conservation and Renewable Energies

Since 2021, an annual BfN expert discussion on nature conservation and renewable energies has been held. This event series aims to highlight issues in the fields of nature conservation and renewable energies, offer potential solutions, and facilitate discussions. The BfN is supported in increasing the reach of existing solutions from a conservation perspective, discussing new approaches with relevant decision-makers, and finding alliances to implement specific goals and strategies. The objective of this project is to organize and conduct three BfN expert discussions, addressing current, politically relevant topics in the context of 'Nature Conservation and Energy Transition' and presenting and discussing actionable options. Additionally, specific expert reports will be developed for emerging topics or tailored solutions as needed, which will help in formulating and supporting positions. Furthermore, optional workshops with practitioners (e.g., municipalities, authorities, associations, regional planning) and an expert report to prepare for the BfN expert discussions may be planned within the contract period.
