Brief
The City of Pori's Technical Department is seeking bids for the renovation of the Porin Stadium sports field area, as outlined in this request for proposals and its attachments. Porin Stadium provides excellent conditions for athletics training, recreation, and competition, and it also offers schools, organizations, and residents the opportunity to host various suitable sports and outdoor events. The stadium was completed in 1966 and has undergone renovations in 1982, 1992, and 2004. The purpose of the renovation is to update the quality of the field to meet the guidelines set by World Athletics (WA) and significantly reduce the environmental impact of the materials used. The project includes: 1. Renovation of the Porin Stadium, Athletics Field (separate contract) 2. Renovation of the Porin Stadium, Main Grandstand (main contract) 3. Option: Renovation of the Porin Stadium, Service and Changing Room Building A-E, RU (main contract) 4. Option: Renovation of the Porin Stadium, Service and Changing Room Building A-E, PU (subcontract) 5. Option: Renovation of the Porin Stadium, Service and Changing Room Building A-E, IAU (subcontract) 6. Option: Renovation of the Porin Stadium, Service and Changing Room Building A-E, SU (subcontract) 7. Option: Renovation of the Porin Stadium, Main Grandstand New Parts, RU (main contract) 8. Option: Renovation of the Porin Stadium, Main Grandstand New Parts, PU (subcontract) 9. Option: Renovation of the Porin Stadium, Main Grandstand New Parts, IAU (subcontract) 10. Option: Renovation of the Porin Stadium, Main Grandstand New Parts, SU (subcontract) Options for parts 3-6 and 7-10 are requested conditionally, and the selection of contractors and the scope of the project will be decided after the state funding for sports facility construction is resolved in the fall of 2025, provided that the Pori City Council has allocated funds for the project by approving the 2026 budget or making another separate decision. The contract for parts 1 and 2 will be executed as a fixed-price contract between May 5, 2025, and May 28, 2026. The optional parts 3-10 will be executed as a fixed-price contract based on the bids received, scheduled from January 31, 2026, to May 31, 2027. Bids must be submitted in accordance with the attached PDF plans and documents. The total price for the construction and technical works must be provided, including all work and materials as per the request for proposals documents. The evaluation criterion for the bids and the basis for contractor selection will be the total price. The request for proposals will be supplemented with additional letters by March 7, 2025, to clarify the procurement documents. No compensation will be paid to bidders for submitting proposals, nor if the procurement process is halted before a decision is made; the buyer is not obligated to reimburse costs incurred by participants in the process. Bidders are required to familiarize themselves with the site; a guided site visit will be held on March 14, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Address: Porin Stadium, Metsämiehenkatu 19, 28500 Pori.
