Construction Works for Traffic Improvement in Brüttisellen

The project N01/42, 46 involves reducing existing traffic bottlenecks at the Brüttisellen junction to the Zürich-East junction and improving traffic flow. Key components include establishing a permanent emergency lane usage and various construction measures on the track and structures. Additional project elements include noise mitigation (construction of 5 new noise barriers and replacement of 1) and road drainage treatment (construction of 2 drainage systems). The main contractor's mandate for the primary works of construction package 2 includes the following tasks: - Various adjustments and optimizations of the track, including the removal of lamp post foundations and previously cut lamp post stumps in the median and edge areas - Construction of foundations for signal portals - Construction of noise barriers at 'Überlandstrasse' (divided into East, Middle, and West) - Construction of noise barriers at 'Im Schwanen' - Construction of noise barriers at 'Birkenstrasse' - Replacement of the noise barrier at 'Brüttisellen junction', entrance towards Zürich - Construction of drainage systems in Wallisellen and Brüttisellen (including adjustments to oil separators, new pump shaft AS Wallisellen, and new drop shaft Haldenstrasse) - Extension of the utility tunnel Brandbach - Widening of the Altbach bridge - Widening of the overpass entrance towards Zürich (from N15) - Adjustments to the overpass entrance towards Zürich, area of dam hollow space - Impact reinforcement of the underpass connecting road, Brüttisellen junction - Extension of the Brandbach culvert - Construction of retaining walls at Industriestrasse - Construction of retaining walls at Brüttisellen junction - Construction of retaining walls at Wangen exit - Marking works - Delivery and installation of permanent and temporary vehicle restraint systems.
