    Brief

Kirklees Council is inviting tenders from experienced providers to deliver Skills Bootcamps. These courses will last up to 16 weeks, offering 60 hours of non-digital guided learning and up to 100 hours of digital guided learning. The initiative is part of the government's effort to equip adults with the skills needed for new jobs in growing sectors such as digital, engineering, construction, manufacturing, and green technologies. The council is looking for Skills Bootcamps that align with the West Yorkshire Local Skills Improvement Plan, which aims to provide employers and individuals with the technical skills necessary for growth and productivity in key sectors. Specifically, the council seeks partners to deliver Skills Bootcamps in the following areas: Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing, Financial and Professional Services, Creative Industries, and Construction. The estimated value of the services is approximately £272,000 per year. The contract is expected to start on May 13, 2024, and will expire on March 31, 2025, with a possible extension of 12 months, depending on the success of the Bootcamps and additional funding from WYCA or DofE.
