Home Safety and Security Installation Service - Market Engagement

Kent County Council is seeking to develop a Home Safety and Security Installation Service and invites organisations to participate in online market engagement sessions on 25 August and 4 September 2024 (10:00-11:30). These sessions will inform the design and future commissioning of the service. The Council is developing a service that provides domestic abuse survivors and vulnerable residents with professional, discreet, and trauma-informed property security assessments, supply, and installation. This includes target hardening interventions and sanctuary-style security measures that enable individuals to remain safely in their own homes. Organisations from domestic abuse, housing, community safety, safeguarding, and property security sectors are encouraged to attend. Experience working with victim-survivors, vulnerable households, and partnership working across statutory and voluntary sector agencies is valued. The engagement will help inform: service model development, sanctuary-style delivery approaches, partnership and delivery options, eligibility criteria and referral pathways, and market capacity assessment. Estimated contract value: Up to £500,000 per annum for a 3-year term with option to extend 2 years (both indicative and subject to change). The procurement will follow the Procurement Act 2023.
