Community Living Ethical Framework for Care Providers

Wigan Council and NHS Greater Manchester Integrated Care Board (Wigan Locality) are seeking qualified providers to join their Community Living Ethical Framework—a values-based commissioning approach for delivering high-quality, ethical care and support services. This framework prioritizes person-centered, strengths-based support that enables people to live independently in their own homes and communities with dignity and control. To be included on this framework, providers must demonstrate commitment to: - Empowering service users through co-design and genuine control over their care and support - Delivering strengths-based approaches that recognize and build on individuals' gifts, talents and aspirations - Preventing crisis through proactive community-focused solutions - Building meaningful networks and connections within local communities - Listening to and amplifying the voices of service users, including those with communication barriers - Supporting families and carers as partners in care planning - Providing culturally sensitive and inclusive services for diverse communities - Addressing people's holistic needs—physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing This is an opportunity for skilled, caring, and compassionate care providers to partner with the Council and Integrated Care Board in transforming how community-based support is commissioned and delivered.
